You might want to check for a bent wheel. Sometimes hitting a pothole will do the deed and then you'll get the wobbles. FWIW I wore out the front runflats at 5k and put the rear ones on the front. Then when I got 2 new tires at 10k, I put the old runflats back on the back. The Paradas wore out at 20k and I put 2 more on the front with the same old runflats on the back. I finally started driving sanely and I didn't need to get tires until 33k when I changed all four. The owners manual says not to rotate, but I think thats more a liability/legal issue (may compromise handling due to different wear patterns), than that it is harmful to your car. Good luck.

On my 05 S

I rotate R2F2R the 16" Dunlop RSC's every 5K or so at Discount (bought R/H and mtce warraties when I bought the car new.) This is was backed up by my SA. Of course my MINI dealership's service dept seems to know what it's doing. I have no vibration issues. The tires are wearing very nicely, should get 20-25K.

The person U spoke 2 @MINI was simply wrong. Rotate your tires.

I also concur with the bent wheel theory. Jimbo

I'm sure there are other factors, but one sure way is to park your vehicle in one spot for extremely long periods of time (2 weeks plus) w/o moving it. I always make a point of at least moving my old Toyota truck at least once or twice a week.

But since I got my S and drive that more, I've noticed the same problem developing on the truck, the vibration issues that seem to indicate one tire could be out of round. They are pretty old tires (4-5 years).

Toast just go buy some non-RSC's (much cheaper) and see what happens? A good tire shop will also notice a bent wheel. Sorry to hear about all the BS, man. Jimbo
