Like many others, I "barrowed" images, and then used GIMP to do some editing and combination. Presto, Bettie lives!

Highly recommend GIMP if you only do this once in a while and don't want to fork over the cash for Photoshop.

U can use Adobe Illustrator to get a vector rendering of your mini. It's not a Caricature of ur mini but it is still cool. You can go to http://www.pslover.com/ for tons and tons of info and Tutorials on how to do anything photoshop/illustrator.

I have also wanted a signature made. Does anyone know how to get ahold of COOPERation? Maybe we could find a designer that would be interested in doing a few signatures. I know just enough Photoshop just to be dangerous but near enough. I love the cartoon like images cooperation has done.

I'm pretty sure the tiny MINIs are made in Illustrator, and colorized (could be in P-Shop, could be in Illustrator). Then exported/saved as jpg.

Where are people getting the color vector drawings from? I love those...can't find them!

thanks!

Hi folks, thanks for the kudos from those friends that I've done work for...to the others, stick around maybe something good will come your way. To give credit where credit is due, my graphics are vector drawings created from "scratch" in Coreldraw...not Illustrator, not Photoshop, no Adobe products what-so-ever. Although Adobe has a fine graphics range in their products, it's not for everyone and it's not the "end all" to all the graphics that you see everywhere.

Now I cannot possibly have the time to do everyone a signature, and I don't appreciate anyone using any of my graphics without my permission. I may get around to all of you when I get the time, but I would suggest that you find the means to create your own...that's what owning a MINI is all about. There are an abundance of great signatures on NAM and elsewhere created by individuals to suit themselves, just like the MINIs they drive that they've personalized in their own way. As an example, the originator of this thread, took it upon himself to create a MINI drawing by hand and it truly looks superb. I would guess that it made him feel great that he created it himself!

Job well done, KRGMini05.

As a business owner, my spare time to accomplish these things is limited...I am currently working on two international MINI events, several MINI club events, some MINI related websites, and a long list of those that want signatures before you...I'm one person who receives nothing in return for my services, but gratitude and appreciation...I will strive to get to you in time, but as I said before, be creative yourself...you wouldn't be here on this MINI site if you weren't creative.

thanks!

I have always loved COOPERation's sig lines. You can tell them instatly!

COOP - you mention you're a business owner. I have always thought you could do well in adding you sig lines and promo stuff to the business. I am not sure if you are a graphic artist, but I would pay to have an illustration made. I recognize that not everything should be for free, and most of the time you get what you pay for. I think you'd find a very receptive crowd here there and everywhere!

Just my two cents

Haha...thanks. I thought it came out alright, but not as good as I had hoped. I was almost too embarrassed to use it because you can tell it was hand drawn. Oh well.

Like Robyn said, I'd be willing to pay you as well. I wouldn't expect you to do that kind of work for free. Of course, it won't be for a while because I'm still a year away from getting my car, right now we have no idea what the '07 will look like, and I don't now what colors/options will be around next fall.

But I'll keep you in mind.

I've wondered the same thing. But when I get my own mini, I'm going to do my own vector art, because I can make a wicked vector car if I do say so myself.

Go into "user cp" then into "edit signature" there is a box where you type in the sig you want. Right on top of that there is a bunch of icons. ONe of them is a little picture of mountains or something. Click on that and paste the web address of the pic you want into the little prompt box.

Another option for some will be to just use the MINIUSA configurator. You can export a picture of the car you build (of course it looks just like your car that you own) and then play with it in photoshop.

I left mine pretty much alone (except for rotation and blurring behind the pint glass of course) but I imagine that there are a few million ways to manipulate and change the image.

Mine is the result of an internet search and a little time in paint. Have to thank a friend for the help in editing and moving text. Would like to put a siloute of a MC with sport package in front of the letters.

Would like to do something bigger and better. But going to wait untill MIB is built before we do that.
