R50/53 The MINI Experience - Monday
Two MINI things happened today.
First, I drove for an hour across the city using only the city's internal highway system and one Provincial highway (Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway and QE (Queen Elizabeth Way).
No traffic. Nada. None. Zero.
It was great! Good speed the whole way, uninterrupted. And the Don Valley is wonderful for long curving swerves. No straight quarter mile the whole way. You woulda loved it!
And my "MINI" book arrived from Amazon. The new one by Patrick Paternie. The book is here. The actual cover is a lot better.
I bought the "New MINI" book a while ago. It was good and I recommend it. This new one is very colourful and oriented more to the enthusiast than as a general "history" of the new car book. It even has the cuckoo clock and other toys in it.
And having picked up my MINI cuckoo clock on Saturdy, I'm all set. Office staff reaction to the clock tomorrow!
