R50/53 Requesting HELP from any B&W Photography buff and/or MINI ar
Hello all! For a recent assignment in a Photography class, I have been assigned to take a roll of Black and White shots to develop and then HAND-COLOR! Of course, the first thing that came to my mind was my shiny BRG/WHT Mini! The problem is, is that the British Racing Green color might be too dark to color over with any bright neat colors. So could someone please do me a favor and maybe download a picture of a BRG Mini and import it to Photoshop to see if hand-coloring a black and white shot will have any interesting results? (Btw, the shot I will be Hand Coloring will not be digital or on Photoshop, but manually done!) Thanx in advance for replying to such a bizarre request! -GoblinJack!
I've noticed MINI promotional materials feature a lot of yellow, red, electric blue, and dark silver cars, probably just so body details can be seen more clearly in photos. I would think pure silver or pepper white might work best but, sorry, I have no pics. Good luck on your project!
If you have an SLR-type camera, simply place a green filter on the camera, then shoot in B&W. It will cause your car to come out very light on film.
If a green filter can't be located, a yellow filter will lighten it some.
Hope that helps,
JS
