Does anyone have a good solution for the seat belt twisting problems? 05 MCSa cabrio.

 

I feel your frustration. Had the same issue - finally took it to the dealer and they took the whole seat belt apart and fixed it.

But I have seen a few posts where people said they pulled the belt ALL the way out and SLOWLY let it roll back into it's holder and that also fixed the problem....:smile:

I fixed mine this way... works like a charm!

 

That's how I fix mine, too Is it just the Cabrios that have this problem

Yes probably so. I think the problem stems from the fact that you guys don't have B pillars like we hardtop owners do, hence, the way the seat belt system is mounted could exarcebate the "twisting" problem.

I never had any issues with twisting seat belts in our hardtop MINIs.

 

Took my sis 05 MCC to the dealer and they fixed both front seatbelts due to twisting.

 

My '02 tin top did it and my '05 Cabrio does it as well, so it isn't an animal that only lives in the convertible. Pull it all the way out and feed it in correctly - self healing.
