R50/53 Seat belt twisting
I feel your frustration. Had the same issue - finally took it to the dealer and they took the whole seat belt apart and fixed it.
But I have seen a few posts where people said they pulled the belt ALL the way out and SLOWLY let it roll back into it's holder and that also fixed the problem....:smile:

I never had any issues with twisting seat belts in our hardtop MINIs.
