Clear tail lights on Ebay, same as old OEM?
There was a picture here on NAM of a MINI with what was identifed as factory clear tail lights. They looked pretty cool. Are these tail lights the same as the MINI factory lights?
Thanks,

Nope...
They are as cheap as a water gun... I bought a pair to mess with.. I tried to paint the inside to make it look like the Euro tails in red w/ a white dot. I came out okay until i got to excited and spilled some paint thinner on it while cleaning my hands and ruined one
. The paint thinner destroyed the plastic.
I tested it before i took it apart to see if it fog up by tapeing the wholes shut and put it in the oven (while off) and put a pot of boiling water in and it didn't fogged up. So they're good.
I say, if you like em that much and don't want to fork out the $250+ then go for it. It's only $50 plus ~$10 - $20 for shipping AND SAVE your old ones just incase.
