R50/53 The MINI Experience - Monday
Today I took a road trip from Toronto to London, Ontario - under a two hour ride.
Halfway I stopped to refill my windshield squirter. (I gather from other posts that the reservoir is small).
I pulled into the highway service station right behind ANOTHER LY/B MCS! Imagine my surprise!
The driver was female, from St. Louis, really far way from home. Her car was terrific - a big red "S" (stylized) on the hood and a wonderful MINI Wing from the front wheel to the rear wheel. It was created for her at a local sign shop back home. It looked great!
In a million years I never thought this kind of chance meeting would take place. What are the odds?
Our weather really sucked today, and she was on the summer 17" runflats (I use 15" snows). She said the car handled great, but she doesn't usually get much snow (in St. Louis).
I snapped some pics of her car and we said G'bye!
This was pretty exciting for me. It's rare that a MINIac can share unbridled enthusiasm with another at a truck stop. And only a MINIac would get this excited.
My passenger didn't quite get my exhuberance!

OK - I know this is a bit of a pain, but I put the pics up at Sony's ImageStation for a quickie posting.
You have to be an ImageStation member to see the pics, but sign up is easy and it works on my Mac PB. If it works on the Mac "the rest of you" will have it easy! Right guys?
