Thats insulting and BS. NOT every car has "some"problems. I have both a Honda and a several Toyotas that have NEVER been in the shop for ANYTHING. Not even minor annoyances. I would never say anything with so many parts is "Perfect" but not enuff problems to write home about.

The perfect Mini or the perfect car in this case you won't find it every car has something that needs tweaking and I think that each of us have our own tolerance and expectation issues. How many new cars have you owned in your life?

The real test is how well the dealer responds and I think we have been around that issue a number of times before.

Hey, I scuffed my door trim. That is such a problem. Now I have to clean it up.
My tranny seal went, they fixed it, no problem

2004 MC, no problems, only routine maintenance. Unless you ask about my windows, which are squeaking loudly right now, running greasy lines up my windows so probably need new regulators.

No car is perfect. But us Mini owners can be **** about every squeek and rattle. My drivers window just started sqeeking but I may not persue getting it fixed until my scheduled 10000 mile service which should be in about 2 months. As far as any other problems...I have had none and I drive my Mini hard too......

So I'm over at Mini2 and some poor girl is asking how to tone down the sunlight coming through the sunroof.... a legitimate question right? Well, guess who gives her a blast? None other than the ever sensitive fred3 and I quote:

"While your position sucks it really amazes me that you bought this car and didn't check it out first. Kinda silly in a "can't be bothered with doing any research kind of way". How do you miss a great big hole in the roof of your car? "
spots of the leopard!
