R50/53 Shipping question
Shipping question
According to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen website, my car was "booked" on June 16 and "received" on June 17. They list the ship and the voyage number and show that the ship sailed on June 18. Their tracking system makes no mention of the car being loaded on the ship. What does this mean? Did my car miss its ship?
look to see if you have an * on your VIN#. That means its waitlisted.
Mine has been booked and received on 6/9 and it keeps getting bumped over to different vessels and they leave without it! Hopefully... it is on one of them and I will be surprised... but i doubt it. Did they assign you a new ship?

I looked this weekend too and it listed the Mignon as the vessel I was booked on... It sailed and apparently the car did not - today it shows the Trinidad with a departure of 6/23. The asterisk appears to indicate cars that are booked and received. Those without an asterisk are listed as booked but no received at the terminal yet....
Here's hoping it makes the next trip  Turns out I would have been out of town for a couple of weeks when it hit the dealer lot, so I guess I can wait a while longer!

Asterisk means that your car is on 'standby' for that ship. You will most likely be bumped from that voyage prolly to another shipping company like K-Line or NKP. Call your MA and have them get the information from Distribution. They can get you the line your car is shipped on and Bill of Lading # if you are on a non-WW line.
