Hi Gobble

I've corresponded with you previously on NSXPrime - I have a '92 NSX and got in on the CTSC group buy.

I picked up an '05 MCS from the dealer in Naperville(Bill Jacobs) in early April. Bought at MSRP. I think you did quite well as long as the dealer didn't stick you with anything in the way of options you didn't want.

regards,
John

talked about an 05 MCS to Graham Chandler at MINI of Pittsburg on 4/7/05, build date 4/12, at dealership 5/26, no markup, no fees, 20% off accessories, free matts, FREE SHIPPING (covered) to Bay Bridge Motors in Oakland (worth at least 900.00), bought back tires and wheels (used) for 500.00 and what is worth as much as the above, Graham nearly always returned calls immediately. Don't have the car yet so not done but impressive so far!

Ordered exactly what I want: premium package, cold weather package, LSD.

What do you think of your CTSC? At first I thought it was scary fast but now I'm used to it and want more.

I also can't believe how cheap Cooper aftermarket parts are compared to the NSX stuff I've been buying. Its going to be nice to have a more mass produced car. They probably sell more Coopers in a month than they have sold NSX's in the last 14 years.

Haven't installed it yet - plan to do it myself(and headers) after my basement finishing project is complete in 2 to 3 months. Hadn't intended to buy the CTSC yet but the price was too good to pass up.

I know what you mean about wanting more power though. I expect I'll have the same reaction after the initial euphoria wears off.

Hope when you get your Mini that it's everything you expect and more. I ordered mine with relatively few options - LSD, cold weather package and a few misc. items. Replaced the wheels/tires with aftermarket. Reduction pulley may be coming if I get around to it. A fun car bought just for fun and possible autocrossing or tracking later.
