>>I have the leatherette sport seats, have a minor back problem form an old war injury, and I don't have any problems with the seats.

>>I do have a customer who has the same seats, has more serious back issues, and hates the seats. We are waiting for a bracket from Italy, and then I will be doing a How-to on the Sparco seat install.

Well I guess I had better make a comment since I have commented on all the back threads in the past.

Here's a blurb on low back pain from an Emergency Medicine textbook (ed. Judith Tintinalli, MD):

"Sixty to 90 percent of the population will experience back pain in their lifetime. Fifty percent of people will have a recurrent episode. It is one of the most common reasons for a physician office visit. The yearly prevalence in working age adults is 50 percent. Over 5 million individuals are disabled with back pain, making it the number one disability in workers less than 45 years old. In 85 percent of cases, no definitive diagnosis or source of the pain can be given."

It's such a prevalent problem, you would think that all car manufacturers would be motivated to design the most comfortable seats possible. To all my fellow sufferers, you have my full sympathy.
