2005 dash removal

I'm trying to remove the dash cover on my 05 Cooper to get rid of some rattles and retrieve the Torx bit I dropped down the top vent and I'm not having much success. I'm trying the "ugly Doris" method by removing all the side screws as well as the 4 screws in the defrost vent near the windshield and the 2 in front of the dash cover and the dash will hardly budge.....I know they changed the dash design for 2005--anybody remove one?

Thanks in advance.

Well, judging from the overwhelming number of responses to this post, removing the '05 dash must be either darn simple or a real tough job!

I have no idea how to do it, although I have looked at the illustrations on this MINI2 post...

HOW TO FIX diverse squeaks and rattles in your car!

But my guess is that these instructions do not apply to the '05.

I have removed my 03 dash couple times now to diagnose the rattle comming from there. But have come to the conclusion that its IN FRONT of the dash where I cant take apart, under where the Auto AC sensor is. The Pre-05 dashes are VERY EASY to take apart. Just 4 screws 2 on each side behind the cover and slide off.
