MINI Welcome Box

So for those of you that got a box from MINI USA, how long till you got it?

My MA told me I would be getting one, but I haven't yet, 2 months tomorrow.

I took delivery of my car on October 30th, 2004. The box o' stuff showed up January 8th, 2005. So mine took a little over 2 months to show up.

Unfortunately, not all dealerships signed onto the Welcome Box concept. We early MINIacs also got numbered tee shirts the first year (2002).

It took about 5 months before I saw it in the mail. Oh what a nice gift. It came with a nice mini pen, deck of Mini cards, blue diary (log) type book and other goodies . Oh did I mention 50% coupon off your next Mini! No coupon!

Took delivery of my car on February 26 (ordered it around September the previous year.... had to wait for the Jan. production models for the options I wanted) and I got mine today, April 16.

Had the usual stuff in it that everyone else is getting. The journal is nice, and the pen will go with me in my work bag.

My wife really liked the unofficial owners manual and the toggle switch re-labeling sheet.

Mine took longer than 2 months.
Sit out at the dealership until they send you one or contact MINIUSA and beg borrow or steal one.

Just tell your MA and look
See what happens.
Then fill up with premium gas and go find some twisty roads.

I got mine yesterday too (early Feb. delivery). We went on a spontaneous drive out in the country yesterday and took along the MINI Bingo. I also thought the cards to hold up to tell something to people in other cas was kinda cute.

I got my welcome box yesterday, also about two months after possession of my car. It had a pen, notebook, credit card holder, and note cards. ski

Got mine yesterday, about two months. Never did get the Dealer survey that my dealer told me to expect. MINI of Nashville, treated me the best of any dealer I've ever dealt with (in 45 years of buying cars). (Which isn't to say Classic and other MINI dealers aren't as good).

I didn't even know about the box until I got in the mail. I think it took close to, if not longer than, two months. I've also gotten a few other things since as welcome gifts from MINI USA. Makes me feel like I bought in to a concept or lifestyle as opposed to simply a car. Its a nice feeling.

I got mine in the mail sometime in the past 3 weeks... I don't know exactly when, because I was away on vacation and the USPS held it for me. I bought the car on March 1st though... so it came pretty quickly.

Strangely though, it came with two pieces that suggested I had a convertible:

* Encyclopedia of Open Motoring
* The Idiosyncrasies of your new MINI Convertible

... very odd! Maybe I should call MINIUSA and ask them to send me another kit, for the coupe.

No MINI cards, Unofficial Owner's Manual or "toggle switch re-labelling sheet". I did get a "Let's Customize Our Bodies" sheet, which is kinda weird - you're supposed to put these stickers on your body, get a suntan... and then end up with a MINI-related non-suntan/sunburn area on your arm/leg/whatever. Ahhh... yeah OK.

LOL! Sounds like you definitely got a Cabrio Welcome Kit! You ought to contact MINIUSA and let them know...maybe they'll send you a model-correct kit for your MINI collection!

I have never gotten my Welcome Home Kit. I took delivery on 10/28/04. I called MiniUSA a couple of times and they said it would be in the mail.

No dice...

Ours took about 2 months each time. For those who haven't gotten it - call the dealership and then also contact MINIUSA....
