Ever obsessive, I am trying to track the Tekamine, but am having problems. The call sign, I believe, is LACT5, and entering it into the accuweather site (thanks db!) results in "*** No Data Available for 12z27 *** *** No Entry for Station LACT5 ***"

What am I doing wrong?

Any other Tekamine trackers out there who can help me?

Thanks in advance.

HI Chips
I too am wanting to track the Takamine. I have a route map of the trip, but nothing else. There are several sites out there that track the "ship buoys", but none of them have the Takamine show up.

I also emailed the cargo company if there was a way for the public to track the Takamine real time, but they replied with a no.

I wonder if it is not a requirement to report a position to unless a vessel is of U.S. registry or in U.S. waters.

Here is another site that you can see all ship reports by region by hour.
URL=http://tropicalupdate.com/ship.htm]Ship Tracking[/URL]
click on Ship Buoy Data, then the region. I have tried East Atlantic and Mid Atlantic so far.
I would figure that the Takamine is probably somewhere mid atlantic by now.

HI Chips
I got it from the shipper in the U.K.
It looks like this:

If you send me a pm with your email address, I will send you the pdf file they sent me.

You aren't doing anything wrong. I noticed that on the accuweather site sometimes the ships just didn't show up, but when I checked back an hour or so later, then it was there. Also, once the ships reach the mainland and you try to track through the canal and up the west coast, the accuweather site is completely useless (or, at least it was for me)
