R50/53 TV Ad
Nope. No TV ads, and just a few B/W ads in the local paper. There are a couple billboards around town though. Here (Indianapolis) they seem to be sells well without the ads. The dealer's been open since July, and last time I heard, they had sold 110 Coopers and Cooper S's.
I actually saw two different ones today...the bulldog one and the one where the guy gets pulled over by the British police officer. I have also seen the one with the yellow MINI and the 18 wheeler.....pretty cool!
I keep on seeing the "My money's on the little guy" one. Other than that, there was one where a red MINI was manuvering an s curve down a mountain. Didn't see the whole thing though. That's about it. Not very publicized though on TV. See a whole wack of MINI ads in mags though. At least there's some education on it out there. But there still is a slew of people wanting to know what it is.
Cheers,
Cheers,

you also need to go to the MINI UK site and check out their TV ads, they have one that is sort of like a game show, The ladies have to compare a mans "Privates" to a type of car, one woman has the man drop his drawers and she said it reminded her of a Porsche. Next lady compairs the mans privates to a Ferrari, yeup you guessed it, the next man drops his drawers and the lady immediatly compares it to the MINI. ROTFLMAO with that add.
There's a couple of commercials in QuickTime format on my site.

>>Haven't seen one down in Florida. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
I guess that is a very good thing. The only place where I ever saw a MINI commercial here in Miami was during the short Movie theatre previews....that's it.

I haven't seen any TV ads for the MINI on TV, but I have downloaded a good many of them to my computer. I guess I'll have to spend more time with the idiot box now...
>>The bulldog ad has run a couple of times during the Simpsons on Fox. They also ran a shortened version of the bobby commercial today.
The ads running on Fox must be national, as my hubby saw the bulldog and bobby commercials while watching the Simpsons, too.
By the way, I've really been having trouble getting that song out of my head: "How did you ever get so .......?"

>>Isn't that MINI & 18 wheeler one a rip-off of the Caddy commercial where the Caddy drives in between two 18 wheelers ?
When was the caddy commercial made? The truck commercial has been around for a while on MINIUSA.com, and I remember seeing some commercial on TV a few months ago thinking they had ripped off the MINI version!

I'm in Fort Lauderdale (same TV stations as Miami) and I saw the commercial with the guy getting pulled over by a bobby for driving on the wrong side of the road during Mad TV last night on Fox (Channel 7). They're out there! Keep your eyes peeled!
