Ha! That's where I saw the Cool Blue/ Hot Orange nightmare! Brecht must have the corner market on 'collectible' convertibles!

that sounds pretty bad. a couple years ago, MINI of St. Louis has LY/W cooper with white aero kit and white painted wheel arches. they MAs called it the twinkie and rightly so.

on the other hand, i was at Roadshow MINI in Memphis and they had a Solid Gold MC with a white rood and white bonnet stripes. Not a combo available on the website, but apparently they can order it. It actually was a really nice looking car. I went to grab my camera but by the time i got back, it was gone.

MINI Peabody have had a couple of convertibles with "odd" roofs since introduction last year - not sure if they are computer errors (ie: order entry mistakes) or what ... but the techs have got quite good at swapping roofs!

MINI of Pittsburgh currently has, on the showroom floor, a LY/Blue MCSc with custom yellow leather/blue suede upholstery! ...Other than the fact that the blue suede is a different shade of blue than the roof, it looks quite cool with the top down! ...And that suede feels pretty nifty!

That blue convertible with the green top has been sitting at Mini Peabody for well over two months that I know of. Either the owner is too embarrased to pick it up, or it's waiting for a color blind guy to stumble in

There's one of those running around near where I live. I remember when I placed my order for my MCS that a lady came in and put a deposit on the Hot Orange/ Green Combo MCSC. The dealership insisted upon a $3,000 deposit because of the risk.

I'll snap a picture of it the next time I see it.

I have a HO MCC with Blue top and white wheels!

It fits perfect with the color combo, the green was pushing it, looked like a pumpkin , The old MG convertibles are the same orange with the blue top and it goes with the interior, sunrise with blue. The white rims off-set the chrome which is inside and out. It stands out and i compaired it to a orange with black top and black interior, silver rims and its just too plain for me. Blue on Blue is great but have not seen one yet.
Saw the Convertible at the MINI of Pittsburgh (P&W) and its really good looking, Steeler colors!
Color combos like this exsist in BMW for some time, even more so with the EURO individual BMW you can order!!!
Check out the main site www.bmw.com then color scheme, they have been doing this for some time. You will not see too much of it in the states because the $$$ and I am telling you big $$$ for the leather colors and woods. very RARE. also www.alpina.de like my name. They too have very colorful cars!!

I've seen a couple of orange convertibles with the blue tops, but being in the Denver area, one can only think: GO BRONCOS!(I still wouldn't buy that particular combo, personally. . .)

I know of at least one Orange with Green top in the DC area. Went to a U of Miami fan. You know how they can be...

Yeah, it is ugly. Saw a Hyper Blue with a Blue top. It is okay, but it just doesn't work for me. The blues are different colors, I like more contrast but also it has to work. I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to convertible tops. Don't like almost any cars with colored tops.

To each his own.

I think you might be remembering the LY/Black one they had a little while ago - that one was SWEET!

This new one is LY/Blue!

It's a little difficult to make out, but the blue is actually SUEDE. It's pretty comfortable and certainly makes for a more dramatic visual effect.

Hmmm..I didn't see it when I was at MOP on tues. But given their huge inventory right now it could have been easily missed among the sea of MINIs. Even with those colors! Or maybe someone bought it? Or maybe they ordered one with opposite colors and swapped roofs.

AWESOME!!

I want those seats in my new LY MCSC coming next month? Where did you get those made? (Not a huge fan of the blue, like it still, but I could do them in black).

Check out www.alpina.de

If you don't speak german, the top of the page click on the rims, not the wine . Then inside go to gallery, which is at the end on the top check browser.
www.alpina.de
Very colorful and I wish I could buy one of these very rare cars $$$,$$$.
I think alpina.de is going to do some MINIs in the future, since they are so tied to BMW AG.

I think the suede needs to be darker on the inside like sunrise/orange.

That would work better, but the blue and yellow looks like alpina to me. and then the need the orange piping on the sides like Rover!
