I was called in to order my Cooper S (#80 of #176) in Philly and was told there
is a problem with the exact matching of body and bumper colors for Indy-Blue. These parts must be manufactured in different places. I was also told by the dealer that they had no idea when this would be remedied. What gives?herby74@comcast.net

 

I've seen a few Indy blues around and didn't notice any color mismatching.

I'm near Philly as well. What dealer are you going through?

 

I'm going through Don Rosen Mini in Bala Cynwyd. Apparently this is an
issue only with the Cooper S. So far you have seen Indy-Blue just in the
Cooper model. I've seen some comments indicating that some dealers have
told customers that IB won't be available until at least December.

 

I originally ordered the IB for the '02 Cooper S, and was promised a July '02 delivery. Was told a couple weeks ago that IB was pushed back and will only be available in the '03 model. I was offered the EB instead for a July '02 delivery. Not taking it...switched to the '03 model IB, and now have a delivery date of Oct '02.

Dec '02 for stateside sounds about right, since I'm receiving mine here in Italy.

Yep, same thing at Towne... I ended up ordering a Chili Red MCS... The Silvers were too standard looking, and taking care of black cars is a pain...
