My brother sent me a link to an article on the KBB web site. The 2005 MINI is rated best "hatchback" to retain its original value:

Hate it when they call this car a Hatchback.

Isnt it actually a Saloon? Thats what they called the Classics.

 

The cabrios have not been out long enough to have a resale value set in the rating books yet.

 

I have a pretty good feeling that the Cabrio will have a high resale value too. Like sndwave said, it hasn't been out quite long enough to really tell yet.

I hope so. But, I am biased. In any case, doesn't make much difference to me as I plan on keeping mine for a very long time.
