Ok. So last weekend, I went to Irvine MINI and placed my order for a BRG Cooper. I put down my $1,000, and I was prepared (yeah right) to wait.

But I've been calling around to different dealers every couple of days to see what they have in stock. Today, I called Creview MINI, and he told me that they had 3 BRG Coopers in stock. One was fairly close to what I wanted (get this...it had the Parking Distance Control feature...who needs this on a Cooper??). I went to look at it, and we came to a quick deal. No dealer markup. The agreed to switch out the funky wheels they had put on it (can you believe that!) and are putting the 16" runflats back on. The only 'additional' accessories were the LoJack, CD changer, and floor mats....for $1,580...which I didn't choke on too terribly.

I asked the salesperson why he was willing to deal....he said it was because it's the end of the month.

They're doing the tire switchout as we speak.

Ok....3 hours and 55 minutes left.

Congratulations....You'll love it. They seem to be real great to work with at Crevier, that's where I got my LTL YELO. Had to get it there 'cos Brecht didn't have their building ready in Escondido...They opened for business today.
