I really want MEANIE on my plates. It goes with the theme of the car (Darksilver/Black, lowered, big system, etc) and is a nice pun on top of it. But the question I'm running into is whether or not this plate would be given, aside from availability, due to the fact that it talks about being mean. Seriously! I mean, I had a friend in CA who's plates were revoked in the 90's because they were "vulgar slang". His plates were "SOD YOU" and "SOD OFF". The DMW letter politely explained "that 'SOD' in British slang mean (and they didn't edit here like I am) '******' and that is not appropriate for license plates." The letter goes on to explain that anything promoting violence, profanity or drugs/alcohol would not be allowed.

So would "MEANIE" be ok???

Ooooh just had a great idea for a vanity plate:

S INIW

Think about it a while, then turn your monitor upside down!

So if you mount the plate upside down, it reads "MINI S".

You're probably thinking, "that's going to attract a police person's attention", but I thought if I also put a Texas A&M sticker on, I could get away with it.

Anybody try this yet?

That would be cool. Kind of understated like the Wussy Scooter club in Portland!! Harcore tattooed Vespa riders called Wussy's How COOL!

That's the old school motor coolness that I find interesting...Vespa scooters. Not fast, like an old Ducati, but still cool! Vespas could almost be British!

Moe,
you are lucky you can have 8 letters. In Texas we get 6 letters for vanity plates. I chose GO MINI.

I'd like to find the euro-style front plate that I've seen in some MINI ads. They're black with white lettering featuring MINI phrases like "Let's motor," etc.
Does anyone know if these exist???

Try mattman-enterprises.com, that's where I got my black on white "MINIAC" euro-style plate.

They have black with white lettering to say whatever you want, even "Let's Motor".
Or get fancy with different colors and syle. Very good prices, too!

I applied for "SIZMTRZ" in Arizona, but they told me that it will have to go before the review commity because it could be considered offensive to some. IT'S A MINI STUPID, but I guess they don't get it.

If not i'll try again with FLK MKR (not original for me) or SMIDGE which is what I call one of my very miniature, miniature Pincher....also works for the car.

Motor on,

J.

How about SLOTCAR remember the electric race cars in that big room at the hobby shop? you plugge idn your thumb actuated throttle into your lane's plug, bent your brushes down to contact the copper ribbon and you were off. All for $1.50 an hour.
