Aaaah, to live in California. Nice clean car.

I ordered MAX for my Maxwell. Not here yet but shouldn't matter because it will be covered in snow and mud. Motor on!

I saw a MINI last night with plates that said "HASMINI". It was an awesome LY/W MCS.

Man, I've gotta save some more money and buy my MINI....then I'll be vanity-plate shopping with everyone else!

Haven't looked through all 15 pages, so I'm not sure if this one has been used...

CATCHME

I will be trying for that when my plate expires.

Minx's plates came today!

Just finished putting on Minx's new plate (opted for no plate on front ) in a very cold, dark garage. She was filthy after a day in the rain (you know how dirty the boot gets!!!), so I cleaned her boot first, then installed the plate (with help from hubby who had to drill two lower holes in the custom frame I had made). One thing led to another and I ended up detailing the whole outside of the car. Of course it's going to rain again tomorrow, but I just can't help it!!!

Making turkey soup tomorrow... having a glass of wine now.

I'm flirting with the following (keep in mind I've been calling the car "Pippin" in my head):

PIPSQEAK

What do y'all think? I'm thinking of taking the plunge later this week...

The license plates for my 04 MCS (purchased in Oct) finally came in. They're the standard issue gold Alaska plates. They're uuuuuuuuuugly! So I opted for some nicer looking vanity plates. Chose "MINIAC" because "MINIME" was already taken. Stinks only having 6 digits in our license plates...but glad I got something I wanted.

Great plates! I totally relate to "Pippin" for you car's name Lyrebard and PIPSQEAK is so perfect! AKIndiMini — MINIAC is a coveted name; consider yourself lucky that you live in Alaska, as most versions of that name are already used in other states!

Thanks, Kissmys--his first name didn't stick, mostly because "Pippin" was the name that I'd apparently been trying to think of the whole time. (When it finally popped into my head, I yelped it aloud. ) I worry about how bad it'll be when we have kids...

BTW: I grew up in Petaluma when it was still just a tiny, out-of-the-way 'burb. (Moved away in '82.) Please give it a wave for me!

Talk about a small world! I've been visiting here since 1969 when my mom got remarried (I lived in SF) and finally moved here in 1987 when my husband and I couldn't stand Mill Valley anymore. You wouldn't recognize Petaluma today. Crawling with weekend tourists, multiple shopping centers (including an outlet mall ) and trendy developments surrounding the city. :impatient Cow pastures, hay farms and orchards turned into money making vineyards. But at the heart of it all, the real locals support the beautiful, historic, gold rush era downtown and all the traditions that go with it!

Minx gives a big wave to Pippin!

I like it - especially since the vanity plate I had on my '03 MCS was "PIP SQK". Kentucky only allows 6 letters (booooo!). I always called him Pip. That car has been sold for an '06 JCW but I didn't want to use the same plate for a different car so I don't have a vanity plate currently. :(

I was actually quite surprised that MINIAC wasn't already taken. I actually wanted MINIAK so that it would have several meanings, but MINIAC is great too. Glad I was able to claim it. Will post pics once I receive them!

Pi Rho S

So, backstory... I named my car "Pi Rho" as in the two Greek letters, sort of a pun on words (sounds like pyro) considering he's red like fire (explosion, etc.) The "S" at the end is because someone took PIRHO , so it also refers to a number of "S" things.

Sorry I haven't posted this earlier.

My last name is King, and this MINI is part of our family. Plus it's play on my dad & my nicknames for eachother. He is Big King, I am Little King and now my MINI is MNIKING

Great plates — all of them! I passed a dark silver MCS (white top) yesterday whose plates said "COOPAGE". Cute. It's a coopage thing. We're all in it together!
