R50/53 Rolled MINI
I got the pic from this thread at MINI2. The driver was relatively unhurt (has a sore neck). Appearantly he was pushed off the road by a Jeep, which cause his wheels to hit the curb and then roll the car. even slid on the roof for a few feet first! all things considered, I think the mini looks pretty good! get a bunch of people, put her back on her feet and motor on! (well, at least to the body shop).
I'm so sorry about the accident/crash, but LOOK AT THE MINI.
Other than the front-end damage - It's perfect. The roof has held up - the doors intact - the frames not bent.
Shortest car on the road and is it safe? It looks to me like it is.
But my heart goes out to the owner and hope their OK.

Even the tyres look good - if they're run flats I guess they would.
It must have been a freak of an accident to roll a MINI.

Damn. That sucks. Freaking SUV's
I seem to be having troubles with people seeing my on the road. It's weird. Mostly be pickups and suv's though. Was ripping along the hwy to work when I came up behind a fellow buddy from work whom has a F250. Switched from the right lane to the left. Had a car in fromt of me and was forced to be in my buddy's blind spot a bit. Next thing ya know, he attempts to manuver into the spot where I am. Freaked us both out. He saw my car there at the last second. We get to work, and he says that I should have flashing lights or an amplified cow bell on my car, 'cause he barely saw where I was after I came up from behind. The cars aren't THAT small. Come on. And that's not the 1st time that happened either.
But anywho, it doesn't take much to write off a car that's been into an accident like that though. Things like the chasis and body are measured for less than an inch of impact damaged. Structural integrity has to be kept. The slightest bend in the frame or major points of a vehcile, and that's it. Even though that MINI looks to be alright, it could have more than the allowable damage. But at least the driver is alright.
Cheers,
