Fender Scuttles loose

Does anyone have problems with the R53 Fender Scuttles fitting loose , I've seen a lot of info on removing the side scuttle, but after re-attatching mine it seems to be much looser than before.

When re-attatching, i got the firm and assuring 'click', but it seems to sit a little sloppy, and have more movement than before removing it.

Just curious if anyone else has experience this? Any suggestions that work would be appreciated…

Yes. My left side scuttle also seemed much looser than before after changing the bulb. I'm not sure why, since I had only removed it's lens. I employed the lazy way by using a very small dab of E600 flexible adhesive glue to help secure it from sliding around. Other than that ; I never really spent much time trying to understand what the problem was since I didn't find any broken tabs.

Mine were a little loose a few years ago, and I used a bit of Elmer's rubber cement to stop them from moving. I liked that any excess can be removed by rubbing and it's strong enough to work while still making removal easy.
