'03 R50 question

So I already have the 6 speed getrag swap in my whip ....if I'm researching the possibility of doing a r53 into the r50 swap basically an S motor into my R50 base model....does that being completed already make swapping the motor in any easier? Like beyond the obvious . This being my first mini I have read a lot of posts about the swap and if I'm remembering correctly alot of the discussion is centered around getting the 6speed in there and bunch a lil parts n chit..

Would I be lucky enough to just be matter of straight fwd pull out, put back in sorta job? Make any sense y'all?

Hopefully y'all understand, sometimes I have problems putting thoughts into words

I suppose that depends on your definition of straightforward. You get the joy of changing basically everything under the hood… and the hood itself. You’ll have to relocate the battery, and I think you also have to chop off the main engine bay harness connector, too.

I seem to remember people swapping the DME, EWS, and a few other things, but there may be another way around that with someone who can reprogram DMEs.
