I purchased a r53 cooper s yesterday from a long time member of the forum reelsmith

It is in impeccable shape. I washed, polished, and ceramic coated it. Once I get regular maintainence done for peace of mind, I've heard that a supercharger pulley upgrade is a common thing. I like my cars mostly stock, is this something that can be done without supporting mods?

WRT mods, I'd suggest driving it "as is" a while longer as baseline before proceeding with such. Once tempted with a 15% reduction pulley (JCW-spec was 11%), other mods might well follow - contrary to your stated general preference for mostly OEM stock...

Congrats! Yep you can do the pulley, just make sure the belt is changed and the supercharger oil was done.
