Question to the group: Why do people always mask their license plates when posting a photo of their car? Most drive the car daily and literally thousands of people see the plate. Is there a valid reason?
I have no answer to your question,
but another question myself...
...how did we get to the point where license plate frames are so damned expensive?
GP or JCW frames as $$$ reference here on NAM,
and in my case:

Nice touch @Oldboy Speedwell .
Did you have that custom printed/machined?
Nevermind. The first image you posted didn't register in my mind as an eBay listing until now.
But really? - $500 !?!?
Edit: Sorry, I'm not sure I know why blurring out a license plate when posting an image is necessary.
But I kinda do understand/respect their measure to retain some degree of anonymity.
However - Perhaps they may drive their cars like complete "a-wholes" and prefer not to be readily identified by forum readers...or other drivers they've pissed off in their neck of the woods (?)

The funny thing is that those are re-pops from the 1990's

That seller is deffo over-valuing it and asking an over-the-rainbow price.
I've spent some time looking at such junk and it doesn't really surprise me that the true vintage stuff brings a premium tho.
