I was just doing my fuel filter change, and during the re install process the top of my filer housing cracked. I was having an issue with it going in applying pressure to the top to push the gasket down inside the tank it just wouldn’t go down for some reason. It looked soo easy in videos lol. Anyway, does anyone know if we can order a replacement top!? Or order a whole new housing? This car is a nightmare, everything you touch breaks ugh. I’ve been replacing almost everything that’s plastic.

Their good used parts are not always cheap but (IME), they don't sell junk either. Fast shipping too. Unless your up for the drive.

I may just have to order the whole assembly and just use the top off this, if I can’t find one in the local junk yard.

I may be in luck! Two 03/04 Mini s' have arrived at my local pick and pull junk yard, going by after work to see if I can take one.

 

Soo I scored and got my part plus more they had 6 r53’s! In the yard. The top to the fuel filter, couple fender trim pieces pass mirror and plastic radiator mount. Could’ve takin more but it’s 95 degrees out and I was getting hangry.
