We have in our community one of the nation's top programs to assist the homeless... It's called The Center for the Homeless. (www.cfh.net) My company works with them to provide the education and support to bring homeless people back into society. Each time I listen to one of their individual stories... I am humbled to know that we are all just a few bad decisions away from being homeless... you'd have to hear it to believe it.

Have you ever been to Paris? From what I saw, all walks of French life **** and sh*t on the streets there.

But as for your other bullets, I've had my share of homeless interaction and the only thing I feel about is relief that I'm not in their situation. Yes, it gets old when the same guy asks you for your spare change seven times in one evening out downtown. Yes, the stench was putrid when a homeless man took up temporary residence in my apartment building's basement. And yes, my first time volunteering in a soup kitchen was a huge eye opener. So, yeah it annoys you when someone asks you to "spare anything"—but how annoying would it be to not get a shower and shave for more than a year at a time, or worse to have no one in this world to turn to?
