I have R50. I would like to swap my analog climate control with R53 digital one. Is it possible, do I need any additional parts? I want to put this one



I want to get R53 front and rear bumpers. Are there any additional steps I need to do besides just swapping them out? I know I need to make exhaust adjustments for the rear bumper.

You can do it. But it is a lot of trouble. The wiring harness is different along with coding for the new climate head unit. More headache than it was worth..

 

Not sure on the accuracy of all this, but I’ve read the bumpers mount ok and the fog lights will be off unless fog light brackets or housings for an S are used. Also, R50 exhaust is supposed to be possible using early R50 rear bumper arch and exhaust trim pieces on the S bumper.

 

Negative on the HVAC. You’d need much more than the panel.

standard hvac is better than the auto imo. I have both (two minis)
