R50/53 Road & Track January 2003
And I quote:
"One word that precisely sums up the MINI Cooper S is FUN! Cars like this don't come along often, and every warm-blooded automotive enthusiast deserves at least one good drive in this car. It is packed with attitude: it's point-and-shoot handling and supercharged powerplant provide mile after mile of grin-inducing enteraintment. I think parts of the Cooper S are a bit overstyled (especially the interior), but I am inclined to overlook them, as the overall package is so cool. If you love to drive hard, it's difficult not to love the MINI!''
Yeah. Could any of us have said it any better? (Actually, I really like the interior!)

I like the interior, even if it is a bit plasticky compared to what I am used to.
Plus, if I think it is a bit too much, I will just pay more attention to the supercharger while motoring!

I just got back from my dealership from testdriving an S. I'm definitely buying one now. Julie (my saleswoman) did a mental timing of the 0-60... felt like 6.5ish seconds. Yeah! I'm all about that. I also found out that there's a strip joint next door to the dealer. Interesting. Anyways, if you wanna see more specs, check out the topic I posted, Mini v. the World.

What a convenient excuse to have a friend or family member spot your car outside a strip joint!
No, really, I was just there to check out the accessories. . . "
