Question on fender liners

I've got my MCS torn down on the front doing various maintenance. When removing the front end, I found my fender liners were cracked and broken in several places. Just to ensure it goes back together correctly, I'm looking for replacereplacements.

I've done some searching and see them priced from $12 each on carparts.com to $93 dollars each on other Mini specific stores.

Any reason for the disparity? The liner is just molded plastic, and it's doubtful there are that many different suppliers making the same parts. Plastic quality may be different, but any recommendations or reviews. It just seems $80 is a huge difference.

Thanks

Fender liners shouldn’t be too expensive. They get replaced on a third of all accident repair jobs. OTOH, they can be complicated shapes and large. I would have guessed somewhere in between. What does the dealer want for them?

I haven't checked the dealer specifically, but all the sites with OEM Mini fenders range from around $93 to $117 per side which seems excessive to me for a plastic liner.

Lots of guys parting out MINIs on this forum. Otherwise, check out your local scrapyard or your local Facebook Marketplace.

I've done both. The local Pick-N-Pull gets $18 per fender liner. That's not a bad price, was just curious what the going rate was and found these prices online for new which led to my question about the disparity.

The cheaper remanufactured ones will be made of a cheaper plastic that may crack easier, especially in cold weather.

I did suspect plastic quality. Not cold in CA, just really want something that replaces the existing inners that are broke and cracked. I may take a shot, not a lot of money at risk plus I won't feel that bad if that get damaged by an off track excursion at some point.
