well here is a up side for ya. the Mini Cooper store here in Virginia Beach Virginia STILL HAS COOPERS AND COOPER "S" for sale. Yes folks no waiting the 2 to 6 months. you too can get yours now. and they are only marking them up $1700. in a motoring kit.
The kit includes your chouce of 2 items from 2 groups. first group includes
(pick 2)
group A) 6 Disc CD changer, InterTrack Vehicle Tracking System(like onstar and lowjack in one), Alarm System, XM radio( witch does not take place of the main radio) and driving lights.

group B) MINI Car Cover, MiNI Logo Carpet Mats, MINI Rubber Mats, MINI Trunk Organizer, MINI Luggage Net, and MINI license Frames,

That really is a bum deal IMO. I would suggest waiting for what you want. Who wants things like XM Radio or a car cover (especially if you have a garage)? I waited 1 month for my mini and got what I wanted.

Any mark-up is way lame. There is NO reason to purchase a MINI at above MSRP!

BUT, I don't think the XM Radio is lame. I SERIOUSLY WANT ONE!! I will be putting one in myself when my MINI comes in. XM Radio is very cool stuff.

I woudl be careful when getting the XM radio because it has several hidden costs. I have a friend who travels all over the country for his job and was considering XM. He said that he decided against it because of all the extra hidden costs involved.

What are the hidden costs? It seems pretty well spelled out... need XM Radio compatible reciever, need the XM converter module and it is subscriber based service at $10 a month. There are no other costs involved.

Yes, it's expensive. But if it is something one wants, it is worth it.
