R50/53 Another wonky electrics problem
Another wonky electrics problem
Here's the list of what's not working on my 2003: ac, rear window defrost, dash lights, interior turn signal indicators, and cruise control. I check the BCM and it was clean and dry and all the connectors looked good.
I also checked the big plug under the fusebox, and it was a corroded mess, with a couple rusted off pins. I bypassed those with crimp connectors, and attempted to lightly sand the remaining pins and used copious quantities of contact cleaner. This fixed a dead tach pod issue.
My biggest question, since I don't have a wiring diagram, is if those circuits pass through that connector? I though I did a good job fixing it but it's gonna be the first thing to suspect, provided those circuits run through there.
the thing is the car did get a huge pile of water in it when someone left open the sunroof just before a major rainstorm. Most seems to have ended up on the driver's side where it was inches deep. Where else should I be looking for water problems?
Thanks for any help to direct me from here.
