Do I need a new flywheel?

I posted on here a few weeks back about my experience with my Valeo clutch. I installed it 2 years and 10K miles ago replacing the stock DMF setup. Recently it began slipping again. I put it down to my driving style after recently installing a sprint booster. I don’t believe there were any issues with the install or with the product.

I bought a replacement friction disc kit and went to install it this week.
I’m unsure if I need to do the flywheel too

. Would appreciate any advice here based on the attached photos.

good call. I didn’t even think of that. Are these bolts TTY or reusable?

Maybe it can be resurfaced- but it's pretty bad. I've never once read of a MINI owner resurfacing a flywheel. That will need a LOT of material removed to get to undamaged material, which will change the dimensions- the relationship between the pressure plate and the disk.

Yes, I think replace.

My local transmission shop figured it needed a '2 stage' resurface which was going to cost $125.
I decided upon a new one ($200) instead. Thanks for the advice!

Also, I would replace the flywheel and pressure plate bolts while you're in there.

Or get ARP hardware.

I've seen snapped flywheel bolts because a guy reused them a few too many times. Imagine trying to drill out a hardened bolt out of a crank. Ugh.
