Burning oil smell?

Lately when I shut the car off I get a slight tinge of oil burning smell like if it was a valve cove leaking. I have looked everywhere and nothing. Nothing underneath and bone dry. Any ideas? Oil level is fine and the smell is very slight but I notice it.

are us sure its an oil smell? not rubber (damper) or brakes (sticking caliper) or clutch (slipping)

I would think oil would make a mess and be visible

yes I agree but haven’t found anything yet? It’s not a damper that was replaced earlier this year with a ATI, not a clutch that has a different smell and brakes are fine. I wonder if my oil catch can is leaking fumes maybe? I’ve checked it and seems ok. Yeah it’s weird.
