Aren't they almost the same as the old ones, but without holes?

Are they super lightweight? Of all of the Mini wheel options, I really don't see what people see in the GP wheels. IMO, they are pretty ugly. Variety is good, I suppose, and to each their own.

You asked for opinions, so I'm giving mine. GP1 and GP3 rank pretty high on my "best cars built" list. That said, I'll probably never own one, because I'm not a fan of the wheels (or the color, for that matter, but you didn't ask about that). It's your car, so do what makes you happy, but GP wheels wouldn't be on my list.

IMO MINI did it backwards....The GP1 should have had the 17's, and the GP2 should have had the 18's.

I have seen GP2 wheels on a R53....Looks good IMO, but due to design it blocks any view of the red calipers, red springs and also harder to get to calipers for cleaning.

The GP1 wheels with the openings def makes for easy cleaning of the calipers and provides more visual to susp .

Mine with GP Wheels....aero kit.
