R50/53 Are fault codes stored in speedometer?
Are fault codes stored in speedometer?
I bought a 2004 Cooper S fairly cheap, and fixed up a bit. The hazards did not work, nor the illumination button. The car had zero faults/lights.
So I installed another OEM clock. The mileage was lower than original, and the airbag light was on. A couple of the lights were half burned out. No DVD light at all, and limited information on BC. Only speed and temp, where original had range, avg con, inst con, speed, temp, avg speed.
So I installed another OEM clock. The mileage was even lower, than previous 2, and there are several lights lit up. DCS, airbag, seatbelt, tpms. And, unlike the previous 2, this one dings when you don't have your seatbelt on. Or you do. Cause the light stays on whether seat belts are clicked, or not.
So my question is.... Are fault codes stored in the clock? Because I know my car has no issues. And it would make sense if the clock came out of a car that was wrecked....
So if this is the case? How the hell do I fix it?!
