Muffler mounting isolator nuts size

I'm replacing my exhaust system. What is the size of the nuts that hold the hanger mounts to the rear of the car. I cannot find the size anywhere. What to get a few before I start removing exhaust .

Check them out of www.realoem.com. It's a great source for information on original parts/numbers.

Shreve,

They're 8mm. I would soak them really, really well with BP Blaster, etc.. Everyday for a few days. I soaked mine for a day and 3 of 8 broke off. One was long enough to get a nut on, 2 were pretty much flush. No way to get a new bolt in so I drilled out the 8mm and tapped it for a 6mm stud. Photos on the most recent $500 Bargain Mini thread.
Good luck,
rob
