WTF Clunk!

I have a wonderful 2006 cooper s. It has been a blast, but from the time I purchased it I have had a “clunk” coming from the front right side when going over bumps. In the past two weeks, I have put on the orange Koni shocks (22mm Alta rear sway bar), replaces the right front strut mount. Still had the “clunk”. I tested the lower control arm bushings and they were bad, so I replaced them with the power flex (thanks to mod-mini, under 3 hours didn’t drop the sub frame). Still have the “CLUNK”!!!!!! What the hell. If I grab the front seat bar and shake the hell out of it, I get some slight rattle, but nothing else is moving. I jacked it up again and shook the exhaust with no movement. Could it be the end links? Any suggestions?

I would definitely look at/replace the sway bar links.

If you have placed you hand one every suspension mount, connection, bushing and you still have the "clunk" I would suggest you check your right side upper motor mount .. you can view what I'm talking about here ...

Best of luck.

Motor On!
