R50/53 An Incredible Car
I picked up my DS/W MSC with all the packages last Wednesday and I can't stop thinking of new things to do just to drive it. This is a really incredible car and I've had zero problems. I used to sell BMW's, Porsche's and Benz's and for the money, I'm in really impressed by every aspect of this car. I've seen the the majority of the complaints posted over the last few months while I waited for my car to be built and shipped and was a little worried by some of the things I saw written. I also started researching all sorts of stereo replacements because of the perception that the stock unit was no good. Well, I'm didn't buy this car to race anyone, and I have no desire to push my musical tastes on the general population, so the stock setup (mechanically and stereophonically) is more than I could have hoped for. I just want to reassure those still undecided about getting one, or those waiting for delivery that this car is so much better than I thought it could be when I ordered it.
I also received excellent treatment from Roadshow MINI is Memphis. I bought the car there because the local dealer is charging over MSRP. They nabbed me for etch and some paperwork BS charge ($350), but I couldn't care less, and Dorian at Roadshow was a joy to deal with.
In conclusion - you have got to get one of these cars.
Karl
P.S. - the anthracite trim is great in my opinion.

Karl:
(1) Welcome to MCO and congrats on your new MINI.
(2) You're not the first person I have heard from that has had a positive experience with Roadshow. Please fill out a review in the Dealer Rating System
(3) I would agree, the stereo is far from the first place I would put money if I were going to make changes to the car. I like the stock stereo and the Multi Function wheel a lot.
Again, welcome to MCO and welcome to the community of MINI owners.

Dorian at Roadshow is awesome! She has made my out-of-state sale a real breeze!
Congrats on the sweet ride.
I completely agree that the MCS is the only stock vehicle that I have ever driven that I did not immediately feel I had to improve upon with aftermarket parts. You and I also have the advantage of getting the second model-year cars that might be a bit more polished as improvements to the assembly line take a little time to work themselves out during full-scale production.
I would like a 200hp chip with a factory warranty, but other than that and my choice of rubber, the MCS is dialed in pretty damn well right from the start!
I will be picking mine up next week from Dorian also!
Perhaps we need to start a Dorian fan club since she seems to be the most mentioned MINI salesperson on this site.
And please, jump over and spread the word in the dealer rating section! Last time I checked, Roadshow had more reviews than any other dealership anywhere!
Go Dorian Go!
