Absence makes the MINI go faster

I've been out of the country for the past 2 weeks, and hence away from my Cooper S.

I just took it for a fun drive 20 minutes ago, and BOY!!!!!...... this MINI car is pretty peppy. Touch throttle and it just wants to lurch forward, turn the steering wheel and it wants to change direction like a fighter plane.

You should all try taking a long break from the MINI, go drive something else, then come back to the MINI, double the usual dose of endophines. hah.

Ha!, so true!

For me driving something else for 5 minutes already make me appreciate the wonderful machine we have in the MINI.

Cars in this country all are about cushy rides and dumb, slow steering response. The MINI is the most powerful antidote against the cars for the "masses".

Every time I drive another car I refer to it as “recalibrating the butt dyno” because it makes me appreciate my MINI more when I get back in it. And it always seems quicker! It’s like that first you-know-what after you get back together with an Ex - it's like, “See whatcha been missin" and your like, "Who's your daddy?”

Edit: Oh, and thankfully it lasts longer than the Ex analogy thing!

Try going from one of the largest vehicles on the road...to the mini. (one of the many trucks I drive)

 The MINI is a great agile machine.

For me though, the throttle response is a little slow when I get on my
MCS because my other car is a 3.5L V6 and there's about twice the
thrust down low.

but the quick steering response of the MCS wakes me up.
