Using Pure Gasoline

If I fill up with pure Gasoline 91 octane ( No Ethanol ) do I have to have anything adjusted or will the computer take care of it ???

Will my R53 run normally ?

You'll be perfectly fine. That's the exact fuel you want.

I am guessing that my MPG may increase without ethanol mixed into the fuel ?

It hovers between 24 to 34 depending if its city or hwy with 10% ethanol fuel.

The same station ( Golden Gate Gasoline ) in Nevada also sells 100 octane ethanol free but its $7.50 / gallon.

I guess I really don't need that, correct. ?

100 octane is moving in to the avgas range. Engines set up for racing performance may use it also. It is mainly designed for all that vapor point, cylinder head temperature and altitude calculating you fuss with making sure the engine keeps working at 15,000 feet long before you're ready to come back to earth.

The owner's manual for my 06 R53 states on page 99 that minimum octane rating require is 91.. Nothing but unleaded 91 octane top tier fuel has been used since purchasing our MINI new and have not experienced any issues.

I noticed that a lot on the west coast. Here in the North East we're graced by 93, but it really doesn't compensate for the crap weather.

Also, regarding ethanol content: it can gum up fuel delivery components if there's too much ethanol, but we're talking 30% or more. Running a few gallons of e85 in a boosted vehicle is a great way to recover some lost performance during hot-hot weather and beating on it. I'd get slight pinging in an old turbo Miata I had running 91 in SoCal summers (beating it up Palomar Mtn), but it ran like a well-oiled sewing machine with ~3gal of e85 and the rest 91 for an average of 94-95 octane. The reduction in ignition energy was irrelevant compared to the benefits from reduced cylinder temperature and thus less timing removed by the ECU.
