Who makes the ideal portable air compressor?
I don't recall anyone addressing this issue before. I am in the market for the 'ideal' portable air compressor; the one I have is kaput. Amazon is happy to supply a list of the "10 best." Reviewing all the candidates, here is a list of the various possible features: brightly lit display; auto shut-off; digital PSI gauge; long and flexible air hose; long and flexible power cord; ac (110v) and dc (12v); power light; adaptors, including snap-on; fast inflation; multi-display, i.e., PSI, Bar, KPA; carry case; pump housing stores the power cord and air hose; rechargeable battery (i.e., uses rechargeable batteries that also work with power tools, e.g. Ryobi). Anybody with real world experience carry to suggest the ideal pump?

I purchased a few at pep boys, but any parts store will carry a few.
I think they are all about the same given the price range.
We have ones that plug into the cigarette lighter and one that connects to the battery.
One really doesn't work better than the other.
We paid about $45.00 each
There is one in each trunk
