Dumb dealership tech!
Took my MCS in for the software flash recall, they keep the car all day, no loaner, standard stuff. I get it back and continue merrily on my way.
A week or so later, I go on a SCMC group drive to Death Valley, and 2 of the other drivers tell me that it looks like my driver's side brake light is out, but only sometimes. Must be the sun hitting it weird or something.
A few days later, one of the club members is behind me at night and tells me that my driver's side brake is only about 1/2 as bright as the other side.
So when I get home, I have a look and lo and behold, the light board is loose, with the wire loom between the board and the sockets.
The tech had obviously never seen the brake light mod before and got curious when my top light came on with the lower brake light. Must have pulled it out to look at it and screwed up when putting it back in. I'd been driving like that for almost 2 weeks by the time I discovered the problem.
Not a major drama, but bloody annoying.
