So I finally got the correct oil filter and tried to change it. I took the old filter off the basket and put on the new one. Changed the o-ring as well. But try as I might, I could NOT get the filter housing back on. Both filters appear to be the same height but I can NOT start to thread it on without cross threading it.So I put the old filter back in and had no problem screwing it down. Tried the same with NO filter inside and it went on just fine as well.Are there any tricks to doing this.I don't want to take it to a dealer simply to change the filter.
