Are MC seat belt buckles same size as BMW?

Does anyone know if the seat beal buckle and receptacles are the same size as the ones used in the current BMW 3 series?

I'd like to know if it's possible to use my E46 specific Scroth four point harness in a new Cooper S.

Thanks.

I think they are the same, but the specificity of the Scroth harness is dependent on more than just the belt type. The length of the tails that attach in the rear and side are specific to the car. If the 3 series is longer front to back, the position of the narness at the driver will be distorted. If this same harness would work in a Mini, why would they have a separate number for the Mini? I would be careful before I start trying to put a square seatbelt in a round hole. Also rememberthat the pretensioners in a Mini will pull the belts in when an air bag deplaoyment is indicated. If the seat harness is not adjusted and fitted correctly, this may cause problems rather than solve them. When it comes to safety issues, I say don't experiment with your life to save afew bucks.
