guys i recently purchased an 05 mini cooper the basic model . The one that comes with the 15" wheels and tires.
So i bought it with 86 thousand miles for $2800. The car is in grear shape. Just minor details. Has anyone here installed a double din dash? Ive been looking everywhere online to get a double din dash so i can install a dvd player, ive only found dash kits for 2007-2015 mini.
Please if anyone has done this help me out. Thanks

 

I think the install could work, BUT ... it may require you to adjust where the environmental control insert and toggle switch bar get mounted.

I have not had my center console apart in a while so I can't visualize it at the moment, but it is not a hard or time consuming task, so I would recommend pulling the center console apart to look at the mounting possibilities. Just to see if it is psychically possible without major modifications with the remounting of the environmental control insert.

i bought a 2007 enviromental control and toggle switch. Same connections as the 05. And bought the 07 double din dash . It worked perfectly.
