How much are they?

 

Should be basically a plug-n-play swap, though the cost might hurt. I think the '02-'04's are something just south of $600 a piece from Classic MINI.

 

I was thinking it might be cheaper to just buy a 05

 

If you get lucky, you might be able to find someone with an '05 who's willing to do an even swap for a set of early xenons. If I had an '05, I might be up for it, as I prefer the look of the xenons on my '03. They older lights give the car a friendlier-looking face than the newer ones do, IMO.

Part of the appeal of MINI is "yes I'm adorably cute, and I can still spank your car on the twisties!"

 

Yeah the new ones are more lizard like,not puppy eyes,like my 03's

 

Ya I prefer the pre 05 Xenon looks also.
