Hi all!
I took delivery of a Pure Silver/Black roof MCS last Friday.
It's been a blast! Even below 4500 rpms (and I love "Keep it under 95")
, the MINI is quick.
It's everything I thought it would be and better!
Fast turn in. Great handling. The supercharger gives plenty of passing power. And plenty of it! In 6th gear, I can still ramp up at 3000 rpms. Like others have said, it is very easy to go fast without realizing the speed you've attained.
In the twisties, it is effortless. I have yet to push it, as I am still in the break-in period. None the less, I get plenty of feedback from the car.
It is a driver's car. I have 900 more miles to go!

hey,
duard
"This is the way of heaven."
Very cool...glad you're having a blast!!! It's so funny that with all the hype and buzz around MINIs, the best thing about them continues to be actually sitting in the driver's seat and driving the little bugger. Ain't it great when a product outshines its own advertising?
jds: Agreed. The MINI breaks out of the box.
KILO: Sorry, bit of a luddite here.
I took a couple of snapshots on a traditional film camera. Time to finish the roll.
Having driven many cars and vans, I find the MINI to be a great drive. The last time I felt that way was driving a late 80s Golf GTI(1.8L and five speed).
It's not how fast you can go. It's how you go fast.
Motor on!
