I assume you still have the plastic toy dipstick. Did you check the oil level with both and see if they register different? There were reports of discrepancy.

As for me I still have the factory toy dipstick. I decided to get a spare that has been on my ThiefBay watch list like forever. It was $4.25 but all sold out. In no time I found a bunch of sellers sell what looks to be identical ones at varied prices. I picked the cheapest as I am frugal. $2.74 shipped from China. I suspect it is identical to ones sold by the usual suspects for $7.98.

it should arrive in time as Christmas present for Mini

I do still have the broken stick (I think) and I did line them up side by side. At the time, I did not do a comparison as the old stick was broken at the center. The new stick does seem to be showing what I think would be where the level should be.
